As a vegetarian I get asked this question so many times that I thought I'd clear the confusion and let you all know once the difference between the pescatarian, vegetarian and vegan lifestyle diets. I also hope this may help anyone wishing to take on one of these particular diets or understand another person's lifestyle choice. This video is meant to be informative and help, it is not intended to offend or make someone feel guilty or pressurised, etc.
PESCATARIAN: someone that does not eat red meat but does eat chicken and/or fish.
- INCLUDES white meat, eggs, diary, etc
- EXCLUDES beef, mutton, lamb, pork, bacon, other red meat
VEGETARIAN: someone who does not eat any meat, but sometimes eats other animal products
- INCLUDES eggs, diary, milk products, honey, plant based foods, etc.
- EXCLUDES all meat (fish, chicken, beef, mutton, lamb, pork, etc)
VEGAN: someone who does not eat or sometimes use all kinds of animal products
- INCLUDES plant based foods and all others (sugar, carbs, most pasta, bread, nuts, fruit and veg, legumes, etc)
- EXCLUDES all meat, eggs, diary, milk products, honey, gelatine
